Who am I?
I am an ICF Accredited Certified Professional Coach with almost 2 decades of experience in the coaching industry (believe me when I say I've seen some sh*t). I also have additional qualifications in Somatic Trauma Therapy, fitness, strength and conditioning, nutrition, breathwork, facilitation, program design and delivery, and menopause support.
I am a proudly neurodivergent woman (AuDHD), author, mama, ocean lover, fierce advocate, spiritual mentor and more. My clients call me a compassionate ass-kicker; I will never judge you, but I will absolutely hold space for you to unfurl into your favourite version of self and will call you on your bullsh*t if needed.
My work exists at the intersection of SCIENCE and SOUL. I use current research in neuroscience, wellness and coaching pedagogy to inform best practice coaching principles AND I am trained and capable of navigating the complex emotional issues that often underlie our challenges. I believe in the power of laughter and play, of finding creative solutions and that everyone deserves a chance to know what it feels like to move from the heart.

What is embodied leadership? Embodied leadership is about changing the way we think about what it means to lead not only others, but ourselves. It is about embodying the values and vision of your work and leadership to create resonance. Embodied leaders understand that their influence goes beyond words and actions; it is deeply held presence that has the ability to transform. They learn to lean into their intuitive skills and create an environment where there is greater alignment between the mental, emotional and physical experience of work culture.
Why does embodiment matter? Learning to work WITH the body is a crucial leadership skill. Not only does it give you access to more information and insight by opening up new neural pathways, creative abilities and intuitive connections, but embodiment practices also help manage stress and, over the long term, burnout. With burnout at an all-time high in Australia, effective guidance that can model a more considered and careful approach to management is critical. Embodiment allows you to respond (long term) instead of react (short term).

Is this just for neurodivergent people? Nope! The skills you will gain from Big Deal Energy are for everyone. We live in a society that is very focused on what happens from the neck up. Most of us experience not just thoughts, but emotions as an “up there” sensation, without knowing how to tap into how and where we feel them in the body. Learning to integrate mind/body allows you to lead from a place that is grounded and considered, not reactive.
Do I have to do the nutrition and movement component? Short answer? Yes. But if that makes you say, “Hell nah, I’m out!” please keep reading. With over 15 years of experience in transformational coaching, plus additional studies in movement and nutrition I can tell you that those inputs are key to learning how to manage your capacity. But this is no 12-week challenge. There is no weighing and measuring. No “Couch to 5K” programs. No meal plans. It is compassionate guidance to help you nourish yourself from the perspective of someone who knows, both personally and professionally, that taking care of self is so important, and so hard to do sometimes. We will work together on this and start from where you are. And there is never, ever, any reason to feel guilty or ashamed if you “don’t do” what we decided on.
